CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is a process for helping people to change their thoughts and their behaviours. People often hold beliefs about themselves, other people and the world which are negative or are not helpful to them in overcoming their difficulties. In this way it is very similar to TA (Transactional Analysis)

A CBT approach to therapy involves helping a client to recognise those negative, unhelpful beliefs and replace them with positive, helpful beliefs.

I combine a CBT philosophy with a TA framework which helps individuals to understand where their unhelpful beliefs came from as well as helping them to recognise and change them.

I have a Diploma in CBT from the Open College.
